Agreed Neena. Believing in what you do and write – while having a passion for the topic is over half the battle. Sometimes simply sharing your posts on Facebook or Twitter with your followers is enough to know you’re writing for your friends and family – even if the audience is small, it’s still an audience that will keep you going until you do make it to the bigger leagues

Until you start seeing consistent results – that voice of self doubt can be very loud.

There are so many going through the rough phases right now. Honestly, I think what we are seeing is a sift in tides of the Internet. When you think about it, we’ve seen so many changes already – and with each one, I’m sure the people at the top felt the change the most.

From email, to hard coded websites, to message boards and forums, to blogs, to social media – it’s been a constant change. We just have to figure out how the tide moves and go with it.

Such good points, Gayla. This is stuff I know, and I’m actually going through one of those rough phases right now. I have started to take this opportunity to re-evaluate things and decide what kind of writing I really want to do and what will be meaningful for me.
