Blogging Tools I Use
From the moment of conception on any blog I start, there are a handful of tools I use that make life much simpler and organized.
All the tools I have listed below are FREE to use or download.
You will find that I am as frugal as the day is long – but I won’t use inferior products or services to achieve my goal of producing a professional blog with quality content – you shouldn’t either.
Statistics
Yes, I use all three.
Blog Editor
- Windows Live Writer (preferred)
- BlogDesk (sometimes use)
News Aggregator
- Google Reader – I subscribe to over 150 blogs. Google Reader allows me to break them down into categories based on my niches for ease of surfing. A must have as you and your blog grow.
Tracking Trends
- Google Alerts – keep abreast of your key terms, competition and developments by setting up alerts that are delivered right to your inbox.
- Google Trends – get inspired by some of the most high traffic terms daily. What’s better to lure traffic than to write about what readers are searching for?

My Comment Commitment: If you leave an approved comment on any of my posts, I will visit your blog and “share it” in some way whether on StumbleUpon, Twitter or Facebook depending on if I can find a nice fit.
