Money Doesn’t Grow on Blog Trees

moneytree

Money doesn’t grow on blog trees. Money does however, come from the fruit those blog trees produce.

Instead of me telling you where the money is to be found on the internet (which I have done before, but only a few heard what I was saying), I’m going to propose a bit of a project to get all our minds working.

After reading several of my favorite blogs this morning, I realized one thing, most everyone is telling how to make the money once you decide on your niche, but so few are telling you how to arrive at the profitable niche in the first place.

With so many blogs about blogging making their way onto the scene, I can only venture to guess that many think that’s where the money is made. If that’s what you’re thinking – STOP! Right now! It’s not where the money is made. In fact, my blogs about blogging generate less than 5% of my entire monthly revenue each month.

Go back to the drawing table, put together some ideas of what you think might be a profitable niche and share those ideas with us. In exchange, I’m hoping you’ll get enough feedback from myself and my readers, that you can establish a nice profitable niche for yourself.

Can you tell the difference between the people who are blogging for profit and those who are blogging for passion?

Perhaps there are some who are blogging for passion that happened to turn into profit?

So here’s a thought –

If money comes from the fruit that blogs produce, what kind of fruit will you be marketing?

Where do YOU think the profitable niches are?

What are You Waiting For?

Success only comes to those who are willing to move toward success. Sitting back waiting on inspiration or motivation to come to you is going to keep you stuck in a rut and enable you to live a life of excuses on why you haven’t done something yet.

The world is full of the “Ima gonna” types – Those who are gonna build a site or a blog “someday” or those who hope or wish to eventually. All this does is allows those who fear failure an easy out. It takes an “I WILL” or “I AM” attitude to truly succeed.

Some of the most successful people welcome the occasional failure – it helps them to rise to the top of their game. Losers on the other hand hate failing to any degree.

During the ten years I’ve been earning a full-time income online, I’ve seen many people begin their own online business and fail in a few short months. Their endeavor ends there. What many fail to see is that failure can actually lead to success if they take the knowledge they gain from the experience and apply it to a new project.

People have become so conditioned to believe working from home or working online is easy – that setting up a website or a blog, stuffing it full of content then walking away is enough to earn – let me tell you, it isn’t.

Making a living off the internet is something many people want to do and it’s something that many of my friends and family have expressed interest in doing. I’ve been approached countless times from people wanting me to teach them how to earn money online – as if I could sit down with them in a single evening and teach them everything I’ve learned in 10 plus years.

If you have the topic – have a passion for that topic and build a website or blog, I can show you how I’ve managed to earn a full-time living online – otherwise your just going to be out of luck.

So tell me, what are you waiting for?

What Does “Success” Mean To You?

Over the last several weeks, I’ve gotten back into my Law of Attraction and Power of Positive Thinking mode. I’ve taken time to reflect on the word “success” and what it means to me personally.

Everyone has different goals in life – some people want wealth, some people strive to become a better person while others wish for nothing more than good health and longevity in life. Regardless of your personal goal and vision of what success is to you, everyone needs a plan.

No one becomes successful overnight – even if you buy the winning Powerball ticket this weekend, you might become rich overnight – but would that make you successful?

Overnight success just doesn’t happen – especially when applying the same values to making money and with internet marketing.

When you see people making thousands of dollars per day or month, you may feel the urge to follow suit in hopes of achieving the same level of success. It’s easy to get inspired and energized in the beginning, but when the vision of success doesn’t come quickly, many get frustrated and give up.

What I encourage everyone to do is look at the history of that successful person. Look at archives to see how long they have been doing what they do. Most times what you’ll find is years of dedication – hours upon hours of hard work.

What is your definition of success? Are you working toward a specific goal or do you feel you may be losing steam? Share your thoughts – inspire others with your energy or be inspired by those staying on course.
